2. Both providers list prices excluding VAT (20i Terms and Conditions clause 8.1, updated 3 April 2026; Brixly Hosting Terms 10.4), and 20i's checkout adds VAT at 20%. Prices on this page exclude VAT unless marked inc VAT. Inc VAT figures add UK VAT at 20%.
3. Brixly's £1 first month (£1.20 inc VAT) applies to the first monthly invoice for a new Brixly Infinity or Infinity Plus web hosting plan, or a new cPanel or DirectAdmin reseller plan (Premium Reseller's first month is 50% off instead), then the plan's list price applies. Yearly plans are paid upfront at the full yearly price. Cloud servers have no first-month offer. 20i's reseller and web plan cards also show £1 + VAT for the first month on monthly billing, then the monthly price; on its web plans the £1 is applied automatically at checkout, and their yearly prices have no first-month offer. 20i doesn't publish further conditions.
4. 20i UK plans, + VAT. Reseller Hosting: Reseller 50 (50 hosting packages) £39.99 a month, Reseller 500 £69.99 and Reseller Unlimited £99.99, each after a £1 first month; or £439.89, £769.89 and £1,099.89 a year paid upfront (one month free, per 20i's reseller FAQ). Web Hosting and Managed WordPress Hosting (the same plans on both pages): Startup £10, Plan 1 £20, Plan 2 £40, Plan 3 £80, Plan 4 £150 and Plan 5 £300 a month; Startup to Plan 4 £110, £220, £440, £880 and £1,650 a year. Startup and Plan 1 host 1 website, Plan 2 hosts 3, Plan 3 10 and Plan 4 25. 20i's plans are billed monthly or yearly with no contract. Its terms ask you to cancel by support ticket or live chat and re-confirm (19.4), give no refund part-way through a billing period (19.6), and give at least 14 days' notice of price rises (8.3). Brixly may change fees on 3 days' notice (Hosting Terms 10.3). 20i's US-dollar plans differ and are not compared here.
5. 20i Timeline Backups for Reseller Hosting, per month + VAT, by the number of hosting packages in the account: up to 50 £9.99, 100 £18.99, 200 £34.99, 500 £49.99, 2,000 £100, 4,000 £200. It takes daily snapshots of website files and databases, kept for 30 days. Timeline Backups Pro adds mailbox snapshots and keeps databases for 60 days: £14.99, £28.49, £52.49, £74.99 and £150 for up to 50, 100, 200, 500 and 2,000 packages. 20i's free Backup/Restore and Multisite Backup tools make manual ZIP backups of files and databases. 20i includes Timeline Backups on its Web Hosting, Managed WordPress and Managed Cloud Servers. Its catalogue also lists a “Timeline Backups: 3 months free” promotion; who qualifies isn't published. For Reseller Hosting, its help centre and blog (August 2026) say Timeline Backups is bought as an add-on.
6. Brixly CPU, RAM and entry-process figures are per-account maximum limits on shared, CloudLinux-isolated servers, not dedicated resources, and our Fair Usage Policy applies. Reseller limits apply to each client account: up to 2 CPU cores, 2GB RAM, 30 entry processes, IO 30MB/s and 1,024 IOPS. Resource Boost+ doubles one account's CPU, RAM and entry processes for £4.95 a month + VAT. Brixly Infinity has limits of 1 CPU core and 1GB RAM per account, Infinity Plus 2 and 2GB, and Premium Business 6 and 6GB (Enterprise 8 and 8GB, Platinum 12 and 12GB). 20i publishes no per-package CPU or RAM limit and advertises No LVE limits. 20i's Terms (updated 3 April 2026) say a hosting package may use “a maximum of 10% of our server's processing capacity” (14.3), and that 20i “may allow your usage to exceed this CPU limitation” (14.4). Brixly's Fair Usage Policy has a similar rule: no account may use more than 10% of a server's resources.
7. Brixly's daily JetBackup backups are included on every cPanel and DirectAdmin reseller plan, and can be restored from cPanel (or DirectAdmin) item by item: files, databases, email accounts, DNS zones, SSL certificates, cron jobs and FTP users. They are provided as a courtesy and are not guaranteed. Some file types (such as .zip, .sql, .wpress and .mp4) and accounts over our Fair Usage thresholds are excluded, so keep your own backups too.
8. Brixly: custom nameservers (for example ns1.yourdomain.com) are free on all reseller plans, with your domain at any registrar. 20i: its standard nameservers are ns1-ns4.stackdns.com, free and unbranded. Nameservers on your own domain need 20i's Virtual Nameservers add-on, listed at £75 a year + VAT in 20i's product catalogue on 2 October 2026; the brand domain must be registered in your 20i account and use 20i's nameservers. Virtual Nameservers are excluded from 20i's money-back guarantee (Terms 7.4.3). 20i's catalogue also lists a “Virtual Nameservers: 12 months free” promotion, and its US-dollar plans list free private nameservers; who qualifies isn't published.
9. 20i's free SSL is a Let's Encrypt wildcard, which 20i issues only when the domain uses 20i's nameservers (including its Virtual Nameservers); its help centre says “Let's Encrypt require the authoritative nameservers are set to our own to issue their Wildcard Certificates”. Otherwise 20i offers a GeoTrust Simple SSL at £34.99 a year + VAT for resellers (£49.99 standard), or you can install a certificate from elsewhere, such as a Cloudflare Origin Certificate. 20i's free certificate is a wildcard, so it also covers new subdomains automatically.
10. A cPanel full-account backup is a .tar.gz file containing the account's home directory (website files and email), MySQL databases, DNS zones, cron jobs, FTP accounts and SSL certificates (cPanel documentation: Backup Tarball Contents; Backup Wizard). In cPanel, Backup Wizard creates a full account backup you can download. WHM restores it with “Transfer or Restore a cPanel Account”, and WHM's Transfer Tool copies accounts from cPanel & WHM, DirectAdmin or Plesk servers; each host decides whether resellers may use these tools themselves. DirectAdmin includes a converter for cPanel backups.
11. 20i's Backup/Restore tool creates a .ZIP of a package's files and/or databases; “Only zip files that have been generated using the Backup/Restore tool can be restored via this tool” (docs.20i.com, updated 18 May 2026). 20i's hosting package transfers work only between 20i accounts. 20i lets you download files over SFTP/SSH or as ZIPs (Multisite Backup downloads are deleted after 12 hours), export databases as SQL, export email from Stackmail as Mbox or Maildir or copy it over IMAP, export StackCP users as a CSV, and get domain transfer codes and change .uk IPS tags yourself. 20i bills monthly with no contract. 20i's Migration Centre imports cPanel accounts using cPanel's full-account backup. 20i's terms say data is deleted immediately and permanently when a service is cancelled (Terms 20.1).
12. Brixly's free Migration Centre moves client accounts from a cPanel host with native cPanel backups enabled, each under 30GB; our team moves larger accounts and the reseller's primary account, also free. From hosts that don't use cPanel, such as 20i, Brixly's free self-serve tools are Softaculous Remote Import (WordPress) and the Migration Centre's IMAP email migration, which needs each mailbox's password on both sides; other help moving files, databases or email is a paid service at our discretion. 20i's free Migration Centre imports from cPanel/WHM, Plesk, DirectAdmin, Heart Internet, Fasthosts, and WordPress sites over FTP.
13. The Central Account Manager is in the Brixly client area for reseller customers (Reseller Tools > Central Account Manager). One-click login, Resource Boost+ and Workspace purchases work for cPanel and DirectAdmin accounts; Resource Boost+ and Brixly Workspace are paid add-ons.
14. Brixly sells WHMCS licences to active reseller customers: Starter £9.95, Plus £19.95, Professional £34.95 and Business from £59.95 a month + VAT. They are not covered by our money-back guarantee. Premium Reseller includes Starter. 20i: HostShop is free with its Reseller Hosting, with no per-customer fees; 20i's WHMCS module is free to its resellers, and it sells WHMCS licences from £9.99 a month + VAT.
15. Brixly reseller discounts on services bought to resell (client area, Reseller Area > Exclusive Discounts): 30% off cloud servers, 20% off Premium Hosting, 30% off Brixly Workspace email and 10% off domains. 20i's free WHMCS module and Reseller API cover its hosting, domains (up to 30% off every TLD for resellers), email, VPS and cloud servers.
16. Cost figures and charts use list prices checked 2 October 2026, + VAT unless marked inc VAT, paid monthly from month 2 unless yearly billing or a year total is shown, and assume prices stay the same. Reseller: 20i figures add the cheapest add-on that gives automatic daily backups (Timeline Backups, priced by the number of packages: up to 50, 100, 200 or 500). They exclude Virtual Nameservers, SSL, Website Turbo, WHMCS, domains and promotions unless stated. Year totals include each provider's first-month offer and assume Timeline Backups is charged from month 1. A “site” means one client hosting account (Brixly) or hosting package (20i). Web and Premium figures are hosting only.
17. Brixly cPanel Reseller Entry holds 20 accounts with 50GB of storage in total. Pro plans hold 50 to 250 accounts with no fixed plan-wide allowance; our Fair Usage Policy allows up to 50GB and 500,000 inodes per client account, and no account, including a reseller account, may use more than 10% of a server's resources. DirectAdmin Reseller holds 25 (50GB), 100 or 250 accounts. For more accounts, add a plan. 20i Reseller 50 and 500 hold 50 and 500 hosting packages and Reseller Unlimited has no package limit; all list unlimited SSD storage, under 20i's acceptable use policy. Both providers' storage is subject to fair or acceptable use. Brixly's reseller hosting runs on NVMe storage. 20i's reseller page lists “Unlimited SSD Disk Space” (checked 6 October 2026); its blog post “The SSD we use for hosting: the Samsung PM897” (8 June 2022) names a SATA SSD, and 20i replied to a reader that “we will consider NVME in the future”.
18. Brixly: support tickets and live chat 24/7, with Priority Support on Premium Hosting; phone support comes with Premium Enterprise and Platinum hosting, weekdays 10:00-16:00. 20i: tickets and live chat 24/7/365 for every customer; its terms say it does not provide telephone technical support (Terms 15.2).
19. Brixly: a 99.9% uptime guarantee on reseller, web hosting and cloud servers, with service credits of 5% to 100% of the affected service's monthly fee, and 99.95% on Premium Hosting (credits of 10% to 100%) and Premium Reseller; claimed in writing within 7 days, measured on Brixly's records, exclusions apply. 20i lists no uptime guarantee for its reseller or web hosting. Its published service level agreement covers its VPS (99.99% network availability a month; 12 hours' credit per hour of downtime, up to 50% of the monthly fee; replacement hardware within 4 hours of diagnosis; updated 25 November 2024), and its Managed Cloud Server plans list a 99.99% uptime guarantee. Each provider measures with its own records, and both exclude denial-of-service attacks.
20. Brixly: Softaculous with 300+ one-click apps (brixly.uk/cpanel-reseller-hosting and /unlimited-web-hosting). 20i: 80+ one-click apps (20i.com/reseller-hosting/stackcp and /web-hosting).
21. 20i Website Turbo, per site per month + VAT: £4.99 for 1-9 sites, £4.49 for 10-49, £3.99 for 50-99 and £3.49 for 100+. It adds high-frequency CPUs, CDN pre-caching and a 5GB database quota. 20i includes one origin data centre (London, Dallas or Singapore); each extra location is £19.99 a month + VAT.
22. 20i: 10GB per mailbox, with unlimited mailboxes, on an email platform separate from web storage; an extra 10GB is £9.99 a year + VAT. Brixly: email is stored in the client's account; our Fair Usage Policy allows mailboxes of up to 10GB, up to 100 mailboxes per domain and 20GB of email per account. Brixly Workspace email can be added to an account from the Central Account Manager.
23. 20i's web hosting FAQ says “Daily automated backups come free with all our paid web hosting packages ... You can restore from any point in the last 7 days.” Its help centre says “Our standard Backups will store your files and databases for 7 days”, and puts email backups and 30/60-day history in Timeline Backups Pro, a paid add-on. 20i's web hosting page also describes “Automatic timeline backups” that “capture complete snapshots of your sites, databases and mailboxes every day. With 30-day retention for sites and mail, and 60 days for databases.”
24. 20i's WordPress hosting FAQ says sites keep running if they exceed their plan's allowances, and usage over the allowance is billed at £1 per GB of disk and £0.05 per GB of bandwidth (+ VAT). 20i lists CDN traffic separately as unlimited.
25. Brixly web and Premium backups are provided as a courtesy and are not guaranteed. Our help centre excludes accounts over 10GB or 200,000 inodes from daily backups on standard hosting; Premium accounts over 300GB or 3,000,000 inodes, or whose backup runs longer than our Fair Usage Policy allows, may be excluded. Both providers recommend keeping your own backups.
26. Brixly's “no set limit” features are subject to our Fair Usage Policy, which caps standard shared accounts at 50GB of disk and 500,000 inodes, Premium accounts at 300GB and 3,000,000 inodes, databases and dumps at 1GB (adjustable on Premium at our discretion), and email at 100 mailboxes per domain and 20GB per account on standard shared hosting (Premium has no set limit on mailboxes). 20i advertises no inode limits; its acceptable use policy (updated 25 April 2025) gives “unlimited” server space for normal web use and publishes no file or inode figure. CDN: Brixly's LiteSpeed servers work with QUIC.cloud, whose free CDN plan has unlimited bandwidth on a smaller set of points of presence in Europe and North America, without its DDoS protection (quic.cloud, checked 6 October 2026); Cloudflare can be used instead. 20i includes its own CDN.
27. Money-back: both providers offer 30 days. Brixly's covers every service, including cloud servers, for consumers and businesses (Hosting Terms 13.3 and 17.3), and excludes domains, SSL certificates and third-party licences such as WHMCS, cPanel, JetBackup and security licences. 20i's covers hosting, is limited to one per customer, and excludes domains, private SSL certificates, Virtual Nameservers and other add-ons, and VPS and associated products (Terms 7.2-7.4, updated 3 April 2026).
28. Brixly Premium Hosting's 50% off applies to the first monthly invoice only, not to yearly billing: £14.98 + VAT for Premium Business, £29.98 for Enterprise and £49.98 for Platinum, then the monthly list price.
29. Brixly Premium includes Redis (256MB on Business, 512MB on Enterprise, 1,024MB on Platinum). 20i's help centre says object caching “is not available on the shared hosting platform (Linux/WordPress Optimised/Windows)”; Redis is offered on its Managed Cloud Servers.
30. 20i VPS and Managed Cloud Server prices from 20i.com/vps and /managed-cloud-servers (monthly) and 20i's product catalogue (yearly), checked 2 October 2026, + VAT: VPS 10 Cores £199.99 a month or £2,199.89 a year, VPS 12 Cores £399.99 a month or £4,399.89 a year (one month free on yearly billing). 20i also sells managed servers on AWS from £13.99 and Google Cloud from £45.99 a month. 20i Reseller Hosting customers get 25% off 20i VPS and 10% off Managed Cloud Servers (20i.com/vps/resell-vps and /reseller-hosting/discounts-resources); its catalogue lists the 10-core VPS at £149.99 a month or £1,649.99 a year, and the 12-core at £299.99 a month or £3,299.99 a year, for resellers. Brixly cloud servers are billed monthly, or annually (General 12 £2,000 and General 16 £3,000 a year + VAT).
31. Root access: 20i support article “Can I run daemons on the shared hosting platform?” (“customers do not have root access on Cloud Servers”). 20i's self-managed VPS includes root.
32. Control panels at 20i: its Reseller Hosting “uses a free control panel created by our team of developers: My20i”, with StackCP for clients, and its help centre says “If you want to use cPanel for reseller hosting, you should use our Unmanaged VPS” (docs.20i.com reseller-hosting-with-cpanel). Its support article “How do I order an Unmanaged VPS with cPanel?” (updated 20 October 2023) covers AlmaLinux and Rocky Linux 8 and 9, with cPanel installed automatically; 20i's product catalogue on 2 October 2026 listed cPanel licences for its VPS at £22.99 (5 sites), £34.99 (30), £41.99 (50) and £51.99 (100) a month + VAT. 20i's VPS FAQ says it does not manage the security, software or updates on the VPS. 20i says it “may not be the best fit” when a user “Specifically requires traditional cPanel-based hosting and does not want to use 20i's custom control panel” (20i.com/ai-llms).
33. Brixly management plans (Standard £20 a month, reactive; Premium £50 a month, proactive with 24/7 monitoring; + VAT) need a cPanel, Plesk or DirectAdmin licence; servers without a panel get network and hardware support only. Brixly cloud panel licences, a month + VAT: cPanel for 1 account £10, 5 accounts £15, 30 accounts £30 and up to 100 accounts £40; Plesk from £15; DirectAdmin from £5 (DirectAdmin Personal Plus has a £5 set-up fee). Panel licences are billed at 12 times the monthly price on annual billing. Every Brixly cloud server includes full root access.
34. Same resources: same GB of RAM; vCPU and cores as each provider lists them. 20i describes its VPS resources as dedicated (“With a VPS, you get dedicated resources - processors, RAM and storage”). Brixly does not state whether its vCPUs are dedicated. Brixly storage is NVMe; 20i VPS storage is SSD. Brixly sizes include 1TB to 20TB of transfer a month, and exceeding it suspends the server until the next month. 20i VPS bandwidth is unmetered at the listed port speed (100Mbps to 1Gbps); its Managed Cloud Servers include 1TB to 40TB a month, with extra bandwidth at £0.01 per GB + VAT.
35. Cloud backups. Brixly cloud servers include free, optional snapshot backups, kept for 7 days (Brixly, 6 October 2026). Brixly full backups: JetBackup or R1Soft, £9.95 a month for the licence or £19.95 with 1TB of off-site UK storage, + VAT. 20i: support articles “Managed Cloud Servers: Security & Backups” and “Managed Cloud Server: Additional Services” (3 February 2026); VPS Snapshot Backups £3.75 (1 core), £7.50 (2), £11.25 (4), £22.50 (6), £30 (8) and £60 (10) a month + VAT (20i.com/vps/resell-vps), excluding block storage.
36. Set-up: Brixly cloud servers are set up automatically, in under a minute (Brixly, 6 October 2026). 20i: 20i.com/vps (“Deploy your Linux VPS online in less than a minute and a Windows VPS in under 5 minutes”) and its AWS and Google Cloud page FAQs (about 10 minutes).
37. Extra IP addresses: Brixly £3 a month each + VAT. 20i VPS FAQ: “up to three additional IP addresses for £50 per year” (+ VAT); 20i includes a /64 IPv6 subnet per VPS. Brixly doesn't publish IPv6 for cloud servers.
39. Enscale requires a WHMCS installation you control, or use of the Enscale API, and a prepaid GBP credit balance. Wholesale prices are shown in the Brixly client area and may change. New services are charged any one-off setup fee shown in the wholesale price list plus the first billing period. Renewals are charged from credit before each due date, whether or not your customer has paid you. There is no fee to join Enscale.
